Welcome to the Filler Research Group at the Georgia Institute of Technology!
We are a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers working to advance the structural complexity and function of nanoscale semiconductors. We desire an atomic-level understanding of the processes that govern their “bottom-up” synthesis and resultant properties. In pursuit of this goal, we apply and develop in-situ spectroscopic techniques to interrogate these systems in real-time and then leverage this chemical insight to manipulate growth mechanisms and engineer structure at multiple length scales. The materials we fabricate have applications in fields ranging from electronics and photonics to energy conversion and catalysis.
